Helga Schulte-Schroeer                      Fibre Artisan

A lifelong passion for fibre arts is distilled in

Helga's handfelted work. She specializes in the nuno and cobweb techniques, which allow for extraordinary fine felted materials and fascinating textures.
Her unique and modern applications of this traditional craft are exhibited and sold throughout Western Canada.
Though most of her work is in natural wool and silk colors, she enjoys working with the rainbow palette as well.
A self-taught artisan, Helga enjoys experimenting with natural fibre materials. She explores their limits and applications to broaden the perception beyond the traditional.
Walking this tightrope turns into crossing the bridge between craft and art.
